Not only that it is difficult to find a piece of all hand-made hardwood furniture nowadays, traditional woodworking skills are not easily seen in contemporary wood furniture. Wing Wong is devoted to bring back this important craftsmanship to his furniture design. Wing is now working closely with a semi-retired traditional boat builder Mr. Lam in Guangdong. Combining the North-American style woodworking skill that Wing has acquired in New England and Mr. Lam's traditional Chinese craftsmanship, Wing's furniture displays a mixture of western contemportart aesthetic and Asian wisdom of living.
